Perrysburg Conservation Club news

Summer is here and the Perrysburg Conservation Club is in full swing.

The club is sporting a new pavilion with new lighting, new windbreak fence and clearview wall by the entrance to the clubhouse. This work was done under the direction of President Luther Albrecht and several club members, and also the inmate crews from Gowanda Correctional Facility.

Thanks goes to all the members who took the time on several nights to help complete the club expansion. Also, thanks to the inmate crews and GCF for their support and cooperation.

Plans are currently under way to improve the shooting range.

There are still some dates available for rentals this season. For rental information, call Linda Rak at 532-3847.

The annual pig roast takes place on Saturday, Aug. 27 from noon on and music will be provided by Uptown Sound. This event is open to the public and will be held on the grounds of the club on Peck Hill Road. Dinners will be $7, a sandwich $4, and children’s portions are $4 each.

There will also be raffles, games of chance and a Chinese auction at the pig roast. Anyone interested in donating items may contact Ann at 532-2710 or Gail at 860-7864. Proceeds will benefit the club.

If anyone is interested in joining the club or for more information about the club, call 532-2710.
