Grant Funding - Village of Gowanda Trustee Barbara Nephew accepts a $1,200 check from Cattaraugus County Arts Council Coordinator Kim Driscoll at the Community Arts Grants awards ceremony. The grant is wholly funded by the New York State Council on the Arts, which plays a major role in providing funding for the arts in rural areas. The Village of Gowanda was one of 16 grant recipients. This grant will help with the funding for Gowanda’s Music in the Park and the Heritage Harvest Festival. The awards ceremony was held Saturday, March 5 in Allegany and featured a performance by a group from Olean Community Theatre.
