The reunion of four generations of William M. and the late Carmelia L. Putney, formerly of Perrysburg, took place Aug. 1 at Evangola State Park.

Family from as far away as Texas, Arizona, Massachusetts, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Utah and several areas around Western New York arrived around July 31 and stayed with various family members, such as Cheryl and Mike Rathbun of Orchard Park, who hosted many family members.

Ages of those attending the reunion ranged from Bill Putney Jr. at 59 years to the newest member of the family, Madison Staffone, 2 months old. Also in attendance were Nancy Putney, Bill’s wife of 20 years and her son, Alan Parkin.

The Putneys and the late Carmella Putney were former employees of the Gowanda Psychiatric Center for many years.

At last count, Bill Putney has 11 children, three stepchildren, 30 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
