New Officers - At the Oct. 14 dinner meeting, Marie Lewis, lieutenant governor of the Southwestern District of Kiwanis, swore in Christian Igielinski as president and Ryan Gates as vice president of the Gowanda Middle School Builders Club for the 2004-05 term. The Builders Club is a Kiwanis service organization for youth in middle schools. The Builders Club in the Gowanda Middle School is sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Gowanda. Swearing In - At the Oct. 14 dinner meeting, Dan Newcomb was sworn in as president for the 2004-05 term of the Kiwanis Club of Gowanda by Marie Lewis, lieutenant governor of the Southwestern District of Kiwanis. Lewis also swore in Gary Sprague, first vice president; Herb Twichell, second vice president; Diane Gebauer, secretary; and Karen Volk, treasurer. Newcomb, in his opening remarks, presented Jack Torrance with a Kiwanis Past Presidents Pin. He also announced the appointment of Steve Meyers as membership chairman.
