Gowanda VCR
Committee report...

The results of the VCR Committee meetings held Oct. 5, 19 and 25 are as follows: The work on the street lighting has started and the village is two to three weeks away from getting new lighting.

As previously reported, three bids were received Sept. 20 for the streetscape items: benches, litter receptacles, bike racks, and planters. One bid was rejected for not meeting the requirements. The low bidder’s price was a delivered figure of $58,432.

The two bidders being considered brought examples of their products to Gowanda for review by the committee and to answer questions from the committee. Based upon quality considerations and the lowest bid price, it was agreed that Keystone Ridge Designs was the vendor of choice.

It is requested that the village board pass a resolution to enter in a contract with Keystone Ridge Designs not to exceed the bid amount of $58,432. (DeCarlo asked to hold until the next meeting.)

The next VCR Committee meeting is scheduled for Monday, Nov. 15.
