Remember this cute gal from Gowanda’s first scarecrow contest last year? She was the Hager’s Florist entry. Have you started your scarecrow for this year’s contest? Applications are available at the Gowanda Village Hall and the Gowanda Area Chamber of Commerce, as well as at Jubilee, Hager’s and the Gowanda PennySaver News office for the 2004 Scarecrow Contest on Saturday, Sept. 18. Cash prizes will be awarded in three categories. New this year - block/street competition - join with your neighbors and be the most decorated Street in the village!
