Gowanda Summer Recreation staff


     The Summer Recreation staff members supplied the Gowanda PennySaver/News with their personal profiles to introduce themselves to the community. Although the program is now over, this week we feature Shelly Lyndsley, Charleen Lincoln, and Theresa Tonello.

     Shelly Lyndsley, nickname “Shell,” is a Gowanda Central School District employee whose goal is to strive every day to become better at what she currently does.

Her motto is: “Treat others as you want to be treated.”

What she enjoyed most about being part of the Summer Recreation Program: “I enjoy working with the younger children. I love their insights and creativity. I appreciate their candid opinions; I am in awe of their innocence and am forever envious of their boundless energy and enthusiasm!”

Charleen Lincoln
Charleen Lincoln

     Charleen Lincoln, nickname “Mrs. Linky,” plans on one day going into food service or becoming a personal care aide, “going into peoples’ homes and helping them.”

     Her motto is: “Be safe but have fun.”

     What she enjoyed most about being part of the Summer Recreation Program: “I enjoy working with all the future artists and I am amazed at all the unique ideas that the children come up with to make.”

Theresa Tonello
Theresa Tonello

     Theresa Tonello, nickname “T.T.,” is a Gowanda Central School student whose future plans include a career in pediatric nursing.

     Her motto is: “Just because you can’t do something well doesn’t mean you stop trying.

     What she enjoyed most about being part of the Summer Recreation Program: “The opportunity to be able to spent time with children and to be able to influence them in positive ways.”
