Students Receive Scholarships - Two students recently received scholarships from the Grand Lodge of the Free and Accepted Masons of the State of New York. Shown with Edward R. Trosin, Grand Master of Masons in New York, are Andrew Burr and Karlin Danahy, both of Gowanda. In the New York Masonic Education Assistance Program, qualifying children, grandchildren and widows of Masons are eligible to receive assistance. This year, the Grand Lodge, with cooperation of the Trustees of the Masonic Home and Hall, provided 626 scholarships, amounting to some half million dollars, to worthy students. Grants totaling more than $4 million have been awarded to more than 4,500 students since the program began nine years ago.
