Firemen’s convention

is fast approaching

     Mark calendars for Aug. 4-7 when the Southwestern Volunteer Firemen’s Convention will be held in Gowanda.

     There will be fire companies from four counties, a parade Friday evening, a parade Saturday late afternoon, demonstrations and vendors. The beer pavilion will be located on the American Legion grounds and will feature music each night. The vendors will be located inside the fire hall and on the Legion grounds.

     The theme for the parades is “survivor” and there will be a firemen’s Survivor Island competition.
