Charity of the Month - North Haven Therapeutic Riding Center of Gowanda was chosen Charity of the Month for April by Pioneer Credit Recovery, Inc. of Arcade and Perry. Pioneer Credit raised $9,664 for North Haven, which offers children, teens and adults the opportunity to establish a special bond with their horse. The center, a private, not-for-profit facility, services the needs of mentally and physically challenged students. Pictured, from left, are Charity Committee member Kathy Dick, North Haven Instructor Norma Jean Neale, and committee members Linda Nunez, Nedda Papke, Kelly Schubert, Gina Dufrane and Linda Wolfe. To punctuate the fund-raising efforts, Pioneer Credit President Kathy Balus donated $500 to bring the total to over $10,000.
