The first week of August will be a very busy and exciting week for the Village of Gowanda. Gowanda will host the 96th Annual Southwestern Association of Volunteer Firemen Aug. 4 to 7.

     Each day of the convention will be filled with many activities. There will be a horseshoe competition, extrication demonstrations, EMS competition, two parades, high-angle rescue demonstration, fire truck show and a beer tent with live music.

     Robert Coudrey of Gowanda will be honored during this event.
