Classmates, friends and family bid a final farewell Wednesday evening to Lindsay Rebmann, a Gowanda Central School junior who lost her life in an automobile accident last weekend. A candlelight vigil, solemn walk from Mentley Funeral Home and release of balloons from Gowanda’s Main Street Bridge allowed mourners to express their sadness and how much Lindsay will be missed. Chalk drawings and words of sympathy on the sidewalk in the Business District also offer testimony to the grief that has affected so many. “We miss you, Lindsay” may wash away with the rain, but love and friendship never fade away.    (Photo by Karl Miller.)
