WNYFWC updateEileen Humphrey, member of the Monday Evening Literary Club of Gowanda, and currently serving as interim third vice president of the Western New York Federation of Women’s Clubs, has been nominated to a two-year term (2004-2006) for the same position. Election will take place at the 108th annual convention of the WNYFWC, Wednesday, May 19 at the Holland Community Center. All members of federated clubs, including the Gowanda club, as well as Cattaraugus Civic League, have been invited to the convention and to the Helen P. Kelley Memorial Art Show the day before at the same site. Kelley was a former Gowanda artist and past president of WNYFWC. All high school students and clubwomen may submit entries. Lucia Ehret, president of the Monday Evening Literary Club of Gowanda, will assist at a Tuesday evening, May 18 dinner for the Servers Club, the support group of the WNYFWC, which is to be held at the Holland Willows. As vice president of Servers, she will also be a part the annual memorial service for deceased members of the group to be held preceding the luncheon at the convention.
