![]() Pen Pals Across the Sea - Students in Esther Hendrix’s class at Immanuel Christian School have begun to form a bond with students in Katya Riutina’s class at The School of Tomorrow in St. Petersburg, Russia. Returning from a January trip to St. Petersburg, Hendrix brought back letters from the students in the Russian school. The letters written originally in Russian were translated by Riutina. Immanuel students have written letters and sent pictures back to Russia. It is hoped that some real friendships will develop from this experience. In the photo in first row, from left, are: Matt Sowa, Andrew Zefla, Sarah Grubbs, Liz Goodison and Justin Sowa. In row two are: Cameron Tallchief, Sean Burke, Shawn Sperakos, Erika Calhoun, Andrea Zefla and Sarah Miller.
