Harley-Davidson Sportster 883

Happening

is

revving up

One lucky person will become the proud owner of a custom-painted Harley-Davidson Sportster 883 at the sixth annual Harley Happening at the Hollywood on June 6 in Gowanda.

Each year to kick start the much-anticipated motorcycle rally, Gowanda’s Historic Hollywood Theater begins taking $5 donations on a chance to take home this Harley-Davidson model courtesy of Gowanda Harley-Davidson.

“The motorcycle is truly unique this year,” says Brian LeBarron of Gowanda H-D. “For the 2004 model year, Harley-Davidson took the legendary Sportster, the longest-running production motorcycle ever, and tamed the ride through rubber isolating the motor. They may have smoothed out the ride, but they haven’t tamed its spirit.”

To add hot looks to this cool ride, Carl Cain of Hog-N-Air donated his custom-painting talent and laid down a trick indigo blue flame effect. An airbrushed Harley Happening at the Hollywood script is the centerpiece on the brilliant silver fuel tank. (Hog-N-Air specializes in unique paint schemes for motorcycles and automobiles and is located at the corner of Route 60 and Straight Road in Fredonia, 716-673-6607.)

Gowanda’s Historic Hollywood Theater is in need of a multi-million dollar restoration to become a regional center for the performing arts.
