Gary Denea of Gowanda will be presented with the General Douglas MacArthur Award from the Grand Lodge State of New York Masons on Jan. 24.

     The MacArthur award is presented for dedication to the youth of the community, and Denea will be receiving this award for his selfless dedication to coaching the Gowanda Packers for the past 20 years in the capacity of assistant and head coach.

     The award will be presented Jan. 24 at the Masonic Hall, 3 South Water St., Gowanda. There will be a dinner honoring Denea at 7 p.m. followed by the presentation at 8 p.m. Call 988-3814 to make dinner reservations. Those who wish to attend the ceremony but not dinner are cordially invited to attend.
