Swearing In - In a ceremony held on Sunday, Dec. 28 at the Brant Community Building, Debra A. Ritz was sworn in as Brant town justice by NYS Supreme Court Justice Nelson H. Cosgrove. The ceremony was attended by approximately 50 local residents. The Bible was held by Jonathan and Jamie Prime, Judge Ritz's children, and by Tyler Mallaber. Ritz is the first female to be elected as town justice in the Town of Brant. Her father, Kirk Ritz, was Brant town justice for 20 years.
