The ninth annual Gowanda-Area All-Sports Award Banquet will be held on Saturday, Jan. 24 at the VFW Club beginning at 6 p.m. Awards will be presented to area adults who have displayed dedication, longevity and success in a particular sport.

     Memorial awards to honor the contributions made by Howard Hillis, Henry Huff Jr., Chuck Korbar, "Red" Powers, and George Dispenza will also be presented. In addition to the awards ceremony, the banquet will include a buffet dinner, Chinese auction, and door prizes.

     Proceeds from the banquet will be donated to Gowanda-area sports programs. Tickets are $15 and must be reserved by calling Mark Benton at 532-4053 before Jan. 17.
