'Lost and Found' to perform in Gowanda"Lost and Found" will be in concert at the Gowanda High School Auditorium on Wednesday, Nov. 12 at 7 p.m. The music of "Lost and Found" is not easy to describe. Simply put, it is two guys playing acoustic instruments as hard and as fast as they can and occasionally singing a ballad. Some have called it a blend of Simon and Garfunkel and the Ramones. Others have simply said, "I've never heard anything like that before." Most people agree that the music of "Lost and Found" is unlike any widely available Christian music today. Everyone is clear about one thing: through "Lost and Found's" words, stories and concert experience, the message of God's love in Christ is easy to discern. "Lost and Found," aka Michael Bridges and George Baum, call their music "Speedwood." This is a genre they invented, named and are continually defining. "Lost and Found" has eight CDs available; their latest release, titled Something Different, has nine original songs recorded with the usual guitar, piano and two voices. "Lost and Found" also records every concert live from start to finish so you can order the actual concert you attend. In January 1999, the "Lost and Found" song, Lions, was chosen as a grand-prize winner of the John Lennon Songwriting Contest. Twelve winners were chosen from 21,000 entries from around the world. "Lost and Found" made their first national concert tour on bicycles. Originally from Niagara Falls, NY, they rode their bicycles (with no accompanying support vehicle) from New York to St. Louis, to Miami, to San Diego, to Seattle and back to New York. The trip took them 340 days, covered around 8,000 miles and provided them the opportunity to play 270 concerts. Tickets for this concert are free.
