The following local organizations have been recognized by Assemblyman Dick Smith (146th D/C/I/WF) for funding from the New York State Assembly:

*     The L.K. Painter Center in Collins will be granted $6,000 for senior citizen based programs.

*     Drums Along the Waterfront will receive $2,500 for the program.

"I am so pleased to be able to help out these organizations with their projects," said Smith. "With the fiscal situation in the state, I am glad we were still able to help out."
