Collins Library activities
All smiles - Eryka Kusiowski, age 6, enjoys summer story hour at the Collins Public Library. A total of 245 children participated in library programs during July and August. Winners in the summer book raffle are being contacted directly.

Collins Library activities

     The Collins Public Library is pleased to announce the fall schedule for children's programs. Children ages 6-12 are invited to participate in two programs presented by the popular children's museum Explore & More.

     Multicultural Masks, a hands-on introduction to the use of masks around the world, will be offered on Saturday, Sept. 27 (10:30 to 11:30 a.m.) Kumihimo, an introduction to the ancient Japanese weaving art used to make cords for samurai swords and kimonos, will be offered on Saturday, Oct. 4 (10:30 to 11:30 a.m.). Enrollment is limited, and reservations are required.

     The Family Story Hour series (Mondays, 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., and Saturdays, 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.) will begin on Saturday, Oct. 11. The 10-week fall program is offered by Kathy Schultz and is intended for children 3 -10 years of age. Parents are encouraged to make reservations for their children.
