Alliance offers transportation servicesArea residents with no other means of transportation to health and human services appointments should contact Love InC of the Greater Gowanda Area at 532-3541. The 2003 seven-passenger Ford Windstar recently awarded to the Healthy Community Alliance through the WNY Ford Dealers Friendship Express van donation program is now available by appointment only as transportation of last resort. Partners in the service are TLC Health Network and the Gowanda Chapter of Love InC with Love InC scheduling appointments and providing volunteer drivers for the new service. Housed at the Gowanda campus of TLC Health Network, the van will transport patients in need between Gowanda and Irving for medical appointments and other health-related needs. Another van owned by the Healthy Community Alliance provides transportation services in the Springville area in partnership with the Springville chapter of Love InC. Love InC is a faith-based human services clearinghouse. The Healthy Community Alliance is a rural health network dedicated to building quality of life in rural communities. Anyone interested in using the service should call Love InC at 532-3541.
