Well-deserved tribute - Receiving a round of applause, newly retired Gowanda Schools Music Department Chairman Larry Wilson, center, shows the commemorative plaque presented to him by Gowanda American Legion Commander Mark Hebner, on right, and Honor Guard Program Director Joseph Sternisha, on behalf of the Gowanda Area Veterans Honor Guard. Wilson was honored by fellow members of the American Legion and Gowanda VFW Post for his special efforts over the years with students and the community, incorporating a patriotic theme into parades, activities and special concerts.
