Creek Bend - The second week of Gowanda's Music in the Park summer concert series will feature Creek Bend, a very talented and entertaining band. Basically playing contemporary bluegrass, the band will also include some Irish music and songs of the sea. This local area group has been playing together since the early '70s. Carl Eddy, Chris Panfil, Mark Panfil and Rich Schaefer make up the group that has released several CDs. The concert will be held in Gowanda's Chang-Hu Park at 7 p.m. on Friday evening, July 11. It is suggested that concert-goers bring lawn chairs. The Gowanda Area Chamber of Commerce, Gowanda Kiwanis Club and the Cattaraugus County Council for the Arts are the sponsors of the summer concert series.
