Kevin Volk of South Dayton has received a $500 Wilma E. Watson Memorial Scholarship from the State University of New York at Fredonia.

     An English and mathematics major, Volk is a 2002 graduate of Gowanda Central High School and will enter his junior year at SUNY Fredonia this fall.

     Volk is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth C. Volk of South Dayton.
