Steinhoff earns degreeJacob J. Steinhoff graduated cum laude from SUNY Fredonia on May 17 with a bachelor of arts degree in history. He is the first student at SUNY Fredonia to graduate with a minor in American Indian studies. He also had a concentration of studies in athletic coaching and was on the Dean's List. He is a member in Phi Alpha Theta, the international honor society, whose purpose is to recognize excellence in history. During his college years, Steinhoff coached football for the Gowanda Jets football team and was head junior varsity coach for the Westfield Academy and Central School football team. He also coached the Gowanda Seventh and Eighth Grade Boys' Modified Basketball team. He completed two internships during this time. Steinhoff is a 1995 graduate of Gowanda Central School. He is the son of Diane Steinhoff of Collins and the late James Steinhoff, and the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. James Steinhoff of Depew, and Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Clark of Elma.
