     The graphs below were taken from the United States Geological Survey web site where the water levels are monitored for the Cattaraugus Creek at Gowanda.

     The above graph shows the changing water levels of the creek from August 9 through August 16, 2009. It illustrates clearly the sharp spike in the water level during the flash flooding event.

     This graph shows the average water levels for the Cattaraugus Creek for the period from August 7 - 14, 2009.

     This graph shows the changes in the water level for the Cattaraugus Creek for a full year from mid-August 2008 to mid-August 2009.
